Draft — requires legal review
Financial Transparency Policy
How we will record, review and publish financial information.
Draft — requires legal review
This policy is a working draft. It has not yet been reviewed by a qualified legal professional and may change. Publishing it does not mean the foundation is compliant with any law. Hindi translations of policies will follow after legal review.
Commitment
We will publish clear financial information once the foundation begins receiving or spending funds.
What we will publish
- Annual reports and financial statements
- Total funds received and spent, by category
- Programme and administrative expenses
- Reporting periods and methodology
- Corrections, if we find an error
Audited versus internal reports
Independently audited statements and internally prepared reports will always be labelled clearly. We will never describe internally prepared accounts as audited.
Review before publication
Financial information will be reviewed by at least one person other than the person who prepared it before being published, and every change will be logged.
Privacy
We will not publish donor names, personal financial details or bank details without a lawful basis and consent.
