About the foundation
A new initiative from Uttar Pradesh, built around one idea: every person deserves to be treated with dignity, and every child deserves a fair chance to learn.
Our story
The Prabhat Tiwari Foundation was set up by Prabhat Tiwari as a long-term, public-serving initiative rooted in Uttar Pradesh. It is at its very beginning. It has not yet run programs, and this website says so plainly.
We are choosing to start this way — in public, with our plans, our principles and our gaps all visible — because trust has to be earned, not claimed. As the foundation's work begins, this page will tell its story using facts the foundation can stand behind.
Why the foundation was created
To help children and families in Uttar Pradesh get fair access to education, digital skills and opportunity — and to show that charitable work can be both caring and fully transparent.

Our approach to community development
- Start small and local, and do it well before doing more.
- Work with families, schools, panchayats and local groups — never around them.
- Prefer approaches people can sustain themselves over one-time handouts.
- Help people access the public schemes and services they are already entitled to.
- Measure what matters, simply and consistently, and publish it.
Principles of dignity, inclusion, transparency and accountability
- We will not use images or stories that make people look helpless.
- We will not photograph people receiving help, and we will not publish names without consent.
- Support will be based on need, never on identity or connections.
- We will separate proposed, active and completed work clearly.
- Financial information will be published, and audited statements will always be distinguished from internal ones.
Founder
Prabhat Tiwari
The foundation was founded by Prabhat Tiwari, who is from Uttar Pradesh. His role is to set direction and hold the foundation to the principles on this page — not to be its public face. The foundation is meant to stand on its own as an organization that serves the public.
